Recurring billing without the spreadsheet headache
Billing the same client the same amount every month shouldn’t require rebuilding the same invoice from scratch.
Recurring billing is really two jobs:
1. Remembering to send (easy to forget when you’re busy).
2. Making the invoice look consistent (brand, line items, terms).
When those are automated, you get predictable cash flow and fewer “sorry, invoice coming tomorrow” messages. Clients also get used to a rhythm—same day each month, same format—which reduces back-and-forth.
What to automate:
• Amount and description (so accounting matches every cycle).
• Due date aligned with your terms.
• A clear way to pay (e.g., an invoice payment link via Stripe) so clients don’t have to ask for details.
What to keep manual:
• A short note when something changed that month.
• Pausing or adjusting when scope shifts—automation should never override a real conversation.
The goal isn’t to remove you from the process; it’s to remove the repetitive part so you only step in when something’s different.
